In situ investigation of scCO 2 assisted impregnation of drug into polymer by high pressure FTIR micro - spectroscopy

چکیده
Supporting information a Adjustments performed to optimize the infrared spectra: 1) The cell was centered under the beam 2) The opening of the diaphragm was adapted to the sample to meet two requirements: it had to be not too large to avoid the detection of surrounding CO 2 but not too narrow to obtain a sufficient signal to noise ratio. A preliminary study was performed for each geometry and size of sample to determine the best size of the diaphragm opening. 3) The focusing of the beam was adjusted by changing the vertical position (z axe in Figure 1) of the cell. Depending on how the focusing was performed, we found that the baseline changed (increased either in the near infrared region or in the far infrared region) and that Electronic Supplementary Material (ESI) for Analyst.

Dissolving biomolecules and modifying biomedical implants with supercritical carbon dioxide*
We describe two methodologies for dissolving ionic/polar species in scCO 2 . Both lead to a broadening of the range of applications for scCO 2 . Fluorinated surfactants may be used to prepare water in carbon dioxide microemulsions to allow solubilization of ionic and biological species. We outline also the preparation of scCO 2 soluble metal precursors that can be impregnated efficiently into p...
متن کاملIN SITU SILICA SUPPORTED METALLOCENE CATALYSTS FOR ETHYLENE POLYMERIZATION
Bis(2-R-ind)ZrCl2 (R: H or phenyl) was supported on different types of silica by in situ impregnation method and used for ethylene polymerization. In this method, the step of catalyst loading on support was eliminated and common alkyl aluminum (triisobutylaluminum, TiBA) cocatalyst was used instead of expensive methyl aluminiumoxane (MAO) cocatalyst in the polymerization. The effect of surface ...
متن کاملTrace Determination of Duloxetine in Human Plasma by a Novel Ionic Liquid-Based Ultrasound-Assisted In Situ Solvent Formation Microextraction and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography
For the first time, a novel and efficient ionic liquid-based ultrasound-assisted in-situ solvent formation microextraction (IL-UA-ISFME) combined with high-performance liquid chromatography-ultraviolet detection (HPLC-UV) has been successfully developed for the determination of duloxetine (DLX) in human plasma. Herein, an environmentally-friendly hydrophobic ionic liquid (1-butyl-3-methylimidaz...
متن کاملPolymer Impregnation of Concrete by Methyl Methacrylate and its Effects on Mechanical Properties and Corrosion of Steel in Concrete
Freezing and thawing resulting from the ingression of water into concrete causes cracking or spalling. Corrosive ions such as chloride or sulfate penetrate the concrete surface and eventually reach the reinforcing steel. This causes the steel to corrode. Because of the high maintenance and replacement costs, responsible officials should be increasingly concerned about the growing number...
متن کاملApplications of supercritical CO2 in the fabrication of polymer systems for drug delivery and tissue engineering.
Supercritical CO(2) has the potential to be an excellent environment within which controlled release polymers and dry composites may be formed. The low temperature and dry conditions within the fluid offer obvious advantages in the processing of water, solvent or heat labile molecules. The low viscosity and high diffusivity of scCO(2) offer the possibility of novel processing routes for polymer...
